HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you AMAZING Mothers that I so admire and look up to.

Today in church I was reminded of a wonderful talk given in October 2000 General Conference "The Joy of Womanhood" by Sister Margaret Nadauld. I remember it sparking something in me 9 years ago and when I heard it again today I also felt the kind, gentle prodding to remember these important characteristics and try harder to develop them in my own personal attributes.

"Women of God can never be like women of the world.
The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender.
There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind.
There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined.
We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith.
We have enough greed; we need more goodness.
We have enough vanity; we need more virtue.
We have enough popularity; we need more purity."

There are so many of you who do these thing so well and have been such a strength and example to me. THANK YOU for your goodness and being who you are!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Dear Suzanne,
Thank you for sharing that quote. I remember well the impact that quote had on you and the many conversations we've had on the "Joys of Womanhood". You truly emulate every one of those beautiful characteristics, plus many more. Hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day! See you soon!
