Football is Here!!

We love football season, especially since Nate started to play. I have been a little bit melancholy reflecting over the past 8 years of Nate's football seasons. It has been so much fun to watch him and his team play and get better and better together. This is his Senior year and so these players have been together for a long time and they have a great team. THEY ARE AWESOME!

This year Nate started the season hurt because of an interception he caught, during practice, where Nate said "he was picked up and body slammed". He hurt his hip, they call it the "hip pointer" so it was very difficult to walk, breath, or move in general. Not the best way to start the Senior Football Season.
He healed fairly quickly and was back at it. The team has played great and they are currently 8 - 1. The only team that beat them was Mt. Pleasant.

This was the game against their BIG RIVALS - THE OTHER MIDLAND TEAM - D O W!! As all of you know when rivals play, you never know how things will turn out. DOW's team did a great job with their defense but we were able to pull off a win.
YAY!! 14-0

Just look at that kid! He is ready to go!

Can you guess Nate's number??
12
The team is currently in the playoffs with their first game on Friday.
GO CHEMICS!!

He is so dang cute. I can't believe he is a senior. That is killing me. I'm going to love him being in Utah this summer though so we can go visit mom dad and Nate. Hooray for us. Football rocks and it is such a fun time of year.

I LOVE his football pics on fb too! He looks so intimidating with his tough face on, and then, I also know he can sit down at my piano and play a gorgeous, Archuletta song. Pretty cool.

Eight seasons already! Unbelievable! I remember well his first couple seasons out there, playing football on a field with the gorgeous trees in the background, complete with fall colors, and all of our eyes on our favorite player.. GO NATE! I feel your excitement all the way out here! Love ya, Mom
